Is being gay talking about sex?

all my friends call this group of guys gay and they don't even love each other sexually. i don't think they're gay. my friends asked me if i thought this one guy was gay and i said no and they thought i liked him. which i don't. how can i explain this to my friends.
 
oh yea the first comment was right people do use the word gay for other meaning and what not. And let them think it because you dont and it makes them look like idiots too.

or try telling them that you really dont like him and just because you dont think hes gay means you like him its stupid
 
Some people use the word gay instead of stupid or dumb.

Gay really means happy, not even homosexual or stupid or dumb.
 
Explain WHAT to your friends? That the word 'gay' shouldn't be used to slander people?
 
How old is the age group? they seem very childish tell them straight out and that you dont like him you just dont think his gay
 
Being gay does not mean that they talk about sex. Being gay would be when they are dating eachother and stuff.
 
The definition of gay is either "happy". Or, they like the same sex. Have them look up the def. in the dictionary.
 
ignore them, if they pester you, ask them if they want to be your boyfriend if they're that bothered
