Is baying and using a car's LICENSE PLATE legal ?

so... I found those LICENSE PLATEs on ebay for sell and was thinking of replacing
my cars number with a cooler one ... but is it ganna but me in trouble? and if so how can I make it legal ?
(please don't answer if you are not sure)
