Is baseball a popular sport that is played throughout Europe?

Baseball is a sport that is played all throughout the world. The sport is played in the United States, Canada, Japan, South Africa and South Korea to name a few nations that is played in. Although baseball is a global sport, is this sport a popular game that is played throughout the continent of Europe? Why or why not?

i know Italy has a professional league, otherwise its not very big in Europe i don't think. basketball is a much more popular american sport there.

I am sure it is played, just not as popular as other sports in Europe, like cricket.

Im not completely sure. If I ahd to take a guess I would say no. I have always thought of baseball as a Nort American, South American, Asian sport.
