Is Barack Obama looking less like Abe Lincoln and more like Jimmy Carter?

This all seems eerily familiar....

Deficit spending.
Double digit unemployment.
Higher taxes.
Stock Market crash.
Stagflation.

Isn't it comforting to know that Jimmy Carter, hammering away on a shack over a freshly grated landfill somewhere, is smiling. Content in knowing that he has a fighting chance of being downgraded in history to the second worst president this country has ever known, replaced by Barack Obama.

What happened to Bush's deficit spending--hmmm?

We don't have double-digit unemployment. And even if we *did*--it can easily be traced back to the Bush Years--not Obama.

We had higher taxes under Clinton--did the economy crash then as it is now?

The stock market hasn't crashed. It's going through a series of self-corrections due in part to the housing meltdown and the credit crunch. (Again--happened while Bush was in office.)

Stagflation? Also under Bush. Greenspan pushed interest rates so low--and held them there--that it created the current bubble which had popped.

Plus, predatory lending practices due to artificially inflated mortage rates also helped create this god-awful mess.

That and deregulation of the market--a George Bush special-i-ty.

So how is this all Obama's fault again?
 
I don' think he ever looked particularly like either. Why are the Right so angered by the president's admiration of Lincoln? Weird.
 
bush the worst president ever, comparing to carter. nahhhh, he doesn't have a brother that runs a peanut farm, or collected beer tabs.

obama will do fine.

I don't think even Jimmy Carter had the power to crash the economy within a month, ...like Obama did!
It took Carter a couple of years,... right?
