Is baby car seat safe in Toyota Celica 2001?

My husband drives Celica from 2001 (sports car) and I'm just wondering how safe it is to transport baby in it. What car seat would you recommend? (baby will be 1 year in the winter) Is it going to fit in the car ok?
 
get a newborn car seat pretty much any brand you like and they fit in every car that has a seat belt safe can type into search box

honestly the question boils down to is your husband a safe driver...then look at the seat belt in the car is it worn out and in need of replacing or is it in good shape only normal wear and tear damage....if both of those are ok yes the hubby is a good drive and yea the seat belts are in pretty good shape so long as you have a good seat (personally i recommend the 5 point racing ones for front seater they're designed like the seat belts for race cars and actually look a little sporty which would fit in the hubbies sports car style a bit better :) i'm sure your baby will be safe
