I tried to watch Pak Vs SL on Friday 2nd Semi Final of ICC 20-20 Cricket on Channel 9 but they didn't show it, even though they showed the 1 st Semi Final. There isn't much information in Sundays newspapers either about today's World cup Finals. I am just wondering whether Aus Media is Jealous about 2 sub-continent countries coming in to Final. Any Comments ?...
P.S : They didn't show any sport show (AFL) at that time so They could have shown Cricket Semis..only thing they showed is "ELLEN DE GENERE'S SHOW"

I think you should recheck the guides instead of having a whinge. In both TV guides in the Sunday papers, they show that the final is being shown live tonight on channel 9 at 11.50pm. The semis were on Fox.

Why should the media be jealous. It is in the middle of our football season. Friday night had rugby league and AFL. Saturday night had rugby league, AFL and rugby from 3.00pm to to 1.00am. Now the Ashes, that will be a different matter.

What a ridiculous idea! They have many other sports to telecast & can't just show all cricket matches. And why pray tell would the Australian media have any issue with either Pakistan or SL?.Late Friday is usually reserved for AFL, so they would get first preference. It is football season in Australia, not cricket season. No doubt it would have been on Foxtel, so why didn't you watch it there? I think the Aus media like myself, would be happy that Australia did get eliminated early so they can make proper preparation for the Ashes series. The Ashes are the most important thing in Australian cricket, not the Mickey Mouse game.

We have the final on tonight at 11.20 on 9. Channel 9 dont show the AFL, because they lost the rights to 7, 10, and Fox a couple of year ago. Finally, its not that the Aussie media and the Aussie public is jealous, its just that not that many people in Australia care and the games probably wouldn't rate highly in the viewer stakes. The final will probably do alright, but all the games preceding would have had about 5 people watch.
