I only had about up to 2 weeks before my hardware broke after my first surgery. I don't know when it happend. I didn't feel it happen. But I just noticed that one day my pain was back and it just kept getting worse afterwarRAB. Then I had my routine follow up appt with my surgeon at the 2 week post op mark and that when I found out that there was a broken screw. I didn't think there was anything really wrong, I just kind of thought that the surgery didn't work. I was a little relieved when I found out that the screw was broken ( i know that sounRAB funny) but I thought it would be somewhat of a quick fix and I would feel better, as oppose to a failed surgery that could have nothing done to have it fixed. Unfortunately for whatever reason I have had a difficult time with it and the second surgery did not turn out to well. Keep in mind the chances are better that you will have a successful surgery as oppose to a failed one or complications. It does sound like you have exhausted all non surgical procedures and you either live with it (which does not sound like an option to me) or you go through with surgery. It something we all have to really hard about and long about and of course question, do I really need this? and so on. But you have to realise that if you don't try the next step (surgery) then you have to find a way to live with it. It's tough, there's nothing easy about it at all. You will know what you have to do. Good luck to you, I wish you the best. Please keep me posted, I want to know how things go with you. Take care of yourself.
