When writing a book i feel that it is good to Focus on the characters. I know people hear that allot but... it is because it is true. Without good characters there is no real emotion. You have to be able to feel what the characters are feel. With names it is always good to have something unique and short. Some example in the Books I have read are... Clary Fray, Bella Swan, Harry Potter. And those are all becoming movies. But They didn't become movies because of the names. They became Famous and made into movies by the emotion of the characters and the plot of the story.
With the Plot of the story you need something... once again unique. Something that is exciting! I find that most people enjoy reading about something magical. because you can dream about living in a whole other world that an author has created.
And as to weather your story is exciting or not. Well I just don't know because I know nothing about it.
