Ok for my college class i have to figure out the answer to this riddle but i just don't have the thinking mind for riddles..can anyone help me figure this out?

The Potter's Riddle
There was once a skilled potter that lived in a secluded mountin village. He was also a martial arts master. The potter had taken an apprentice and he was also teaching the apprentice martial arts.

The potter had made a verry beautiful vacethat had won many awards. One day the apprentice accidentally smashed the vace. What did the potter do when he discovred what had happend to his prized vase, and why did he do it?
I dont see how its a riddle eather. Im compleatly stupmed on this..i cant even think of something half assed to put down. lol

you are never gonna pass that class if you can't spell "mountain" or "very" or "vase" or "either" or "completely" or "stumped"
so just give up..

Pottery and Martial arts are both therapeutic things to do, pottery is relaxing and creative and martial arts is physical and teaches discipline. The potter wouldn't have done anything as long as the student was remorseful because the vase had already won the awards. In the end it was only a vase another one can be made, and he's still got the awards for the broken vase anyway.
I'm sure you can think of something to write with what i've given you.

PS. This is a particularly difficult riddle for many people to understand because it takes a certain degree of lateral thinking.
