Is Android any good for copying and pasting?

My current phone is a HTC TyTN2 on Windows 6.1 and I use it a lot for copying a pasting, especially between apps (like phone numbers and addresses from contacts to text messages). I'm looking at upgrading to a newer HTC phone on Android but I'm not sure whether it has the same facilities. I tested it on the iPhone and it was nowhere to be found. Is Android any better?
