Is an unlocked Blackberry compatible with Bell Mobility?

Hello,

I have interest in buying a Blackberry, I would rather buy it from a store such as factorydirect or tigerdirect in order to get a warranty ... I am part of the Bell Mobility network and am locked up for another 1.5 years on my current contract ...

are there certain blackberrys that are compatible with Bell, or would any "unlocked" Blackberry work?

if any one had suggestions on where to purchase an unlocked blackberry that would be compatible with Bell I would appreciate it, the site should be canadian and I am looking at modern blackberrys such as the javelin or curve,
