I've always believed that Japanese cars are better than American. But I have a friend that's selling his Taurus for $2500US. (Kelly Blue book is just a little bit more). The only reason I'm considering this is because I actually know the seller as opposed to having to buy a used car from a stranger. So are Ford Taurus' reliable and long lasting (it has 115K miles)? Or am I better off taking my chances and buying a used Honda from a total stranger?
