is a toyota a good choice for a first car?

i heard they are really good and save on gas. just want to know if im making the right choice
 
Hands down Toyota, I have had 2 now, both being Camry. They do not require as much maintence due to mechanica, electrical, etc. I have also owned a Ford Tauras and VW Passat. Ford lasted but wasn't top quailty built. VW looks cool to drive but horrible on interior wear and tear. My Camry now is 7 years old with 118,000 miles, still going baby!
