Is a Suzuki GSXR 600 a good first bike?

I've been lookin at the gsxr 600 and the kawasaki ninja 250r. The ninja is cool but im afraid i'll get bored of it and wish i had a more torque'r bike. Is the gsxr good around corners like the ninja?
 
A ex500 will do you good. That ninja is very reliable, and has more power than a 250cc. Interstat5es are no problem, and even when ever you disided to get a bigger bike you may want to keep it around for a daily rider and keep the bigger bike for weekend rides.. but you can get away with a 600 if you take it easy.
