is a skirt really the worst thing to wear to a dance (under 21 crowed) club?

I get different opinions on it. i don't have short shorts (or shorts that's good for going out) and i think jeans will be too hot for me. i don't think i will be doing too much dancing and i wont be giving in to guys who wanna get with me because ill be the one in a skirt. the skirt comes up to about between my knee and thigh. im not the "slutty" type, so i would be careful of how i wear it...
 
well if ur not gonna get guys i guess than and maybe a cute top too if u have a mini jean skirt that would go great with a hot pink tank top. 4 ur skirt u could have a pretty tank top bcuz its almost summer. ?
