Its a decent bike but what kind of biking are you going to be doing? A mountain bike is better if you're gonna be going up and down curbs and riding on the sidewalk but it'll be much less efficient than a road bike. These are alot more pricey though so its up to you. I get around on a mountain bike for a short 2 mile ride to my school so its not bad so the longer distance you go, the more you might want to consider a road bike.
