Is a Jeep Liberty a good car for a college student?

I want to buy a used Jeep Liberty and I'm wondering if it's an overall good car? I'll be a sophomore traveling home on the weekends from college. About an hour and a half to and back. I don't really care for small cars and I'm thinking a Jeep Liberty would be good for me. It's not very big at all, but it's big enough. I know the gas probably isn't too good, but I'm just wondering? I don't really know anything about cars in general and I don't have any opinions. My mom doesn't know anything. So, thanks!
 
A Jeep Liberty is an excellent vehicle. It gives you the safety of four wheel drive if you get in a bind and the mileage is really not all that bad. I think it would be a great car for you.
