im going to the gyno for the first time, im 17..and i was curious if my gyno is allowed to talk to my mom about me being sexually active and all that stuff? my mom knows i lost my virginity but .. yeah. ?!?

Nope. There's a piece of paper you sign that says they absolutely cannot talk to anyone about what the doctor says to you. Not even the police if they asked for some reason.

I don't believe so. Theres this little thing called confidentiality. but if your worried ask first and then see what they say. But the answer is no.

well, whatever you tell the doctor, he is supposed to keep private. he's not supposed to tell your mom anything you don't want him to. that's why when you're in his office, if your mom went in with you, he'll ask her to leave so he can ask you some questions about being sexually active and all. then after he asks you, she can come back in if and only if you want her to

No...especially if you discuss with him/her prior that you do not want them discussng it with her.

if you tell her not to then she is not supposed to..it is some rule...being 17 u are right at that age where you can say hey i am almost an adult and your mom can say not yet dont rush it you still live in my house so it depends on how buddy buddy she is with the gyno

Since you're under 18, they have the right to talk about it with your mother if they think it's necessary. If you don't want them to do so, talk with your doctor.
