Is a Ford Ranger a good truck?

It is a very good truck. Ford has been making the best selling truck in America for over 30 years. If you want a truck, you can't go wrong with a Ford.

As an alternative, I would consider the Ford F-150 SFE. Excellent mileage, much more capacity, similar price.
 
Im looking for a truck but my parents are like in love with the ford ranger and i dont really share the same enthusiasm as them. So whats the good and the bads of the Ford Ranger cause they have there mind set on getting me one.
 
Some are some are not,It just depends on if your buying it new or used and who owned it before,Was it well taken care of?
I have a coworker that owns a ranger with the smallest v6 made for it and gets way worse gas millage then his GMC savanna with a 305.
so as you can see his ranger sucks hardcore.
