Is a ford F-250 a bad truck for a first year driver?

i would say so only because of they year models 2001-2009, it is a first vehicle, if it is for a boy, he is going to run it into the ground. But as far as it being a 3/4ton, I would say no, if they learn how to drive that big truck early it will help them to be a really good driver. My first year of driving it wasn't uncommon for me to take my brothers 70's 3/4 dodge king cab with the long bed, and I actually liked it. Also make it a 4 or 5 speed, people need to learn how to drive a manual again.

Most would say yes but it all depends on the new drivers background and where this newbie will be driving. If they have had experience driving large vehicles already and is not in a busy area then it should be fine. If they are located in the city and have had little experience with driving trucks then yes very bad. However a plus with a large truck is that they will be very safe and if they do get in a crash they will most likely be able to drive away fine. I started out with some driving experience with truck's and tractors before i got my license. When i did get my license i lived in colorado springs and drove a ford expedition and was perfectly fine.
