Ok I'm pretty sure I'm getting a pomeranian and I wanted to now if the dog is good for this lifestyle.I'm 12 and I go to school at 6:40 a.m. of course I will walk the dog and feed it in the morning. But I come back at 2:30. It is a puppy so I wanted a pet sitter on tue.,wed.,thurs.,fri. when I have school because my mom doesn't have work on mon. The sitter will be their for like 2-3 months. She comes at 9-10 then comes back at 12-1. I will come back and walk feed and play with it all the time. Is this gonna be ok for the dog!?!?!? An do you think this breed can do that if not what breed can?!!?!?!??? thnx

No.

It's great that you kind of have it planned out for the next year, but what happens in 6 years when you are off to college?

Or in 4 years when you get a car, get friends with a car, get a job, and get busy in school?

Or in 2 years when you join French Club, Newspaper, Soccer, or get a boyfriend?

Who is going to potty train this puppy? The pet sitter isn't going to be there to watch it every waking minute like a toy breed puppy needs for usually 6-12 months.

You say you only want the petsitter as long as the dog as a puppy - what happens after that? I don't know too many pom breeders or rescue worth anything that would allow you to leave a pom home for 8+ hours everyday while you are at school.

Sorry, but unless your mom can pitch in more and you have a plan for this dog SPECIFICALLY for the next 15 years, it just isn't the right time.

I think thats a preety good plan. But I think a puppy will be too much work. Maybe try an older dog? Well I hope It all works out.

yes. i'm sure you'll take good care of it. you have to have the patience to train this puppy. make sure you have everything you need before it arrives. i reccomend reading training books before it comes. they come in handy. supply it with shots every year and flea medication. i'm telling you it's cute when poms learn to bark but once they do it becomes a habit. pomeranians bark a lot.

wait till the holidays if you want to get a puppy it needs trining and our love for about 2-3 weeks after its left its mum you have to be near it not a puppy siter

Sounds good.
I'm bloody sick of people being like "unless you plan on blah blah blah when you grow up"
When you grow up obviously you'll take the dog with you, or your parents will keep it if they want.
