is a cpi 50cc bike chinese?

Hi just wondering if it is worth buying a 2006 cpi for 400 pound and who it is made by??
 
I believe CPI is a Taiwanese company.

Taiwanese bikes are higher quality than the typical Chinese makes.

The most important thing is the Quality Control that a distributor sets up in the manufacturer.

Some of the lower end scooters can be great if this issue was observed.
 
CPI Taiwan. CPI group was founded in 1991 and is a Taiwanese company. However the bikes are made almost exclusively in the PRC. Makes sense, when I was there, (Taiwan) every man and his dog had a scooter, although they were Kymco's etc....400 GBP...depends on the model and condition.
