Is a child considered albino if he/she has these characteristics?

It's ®0©ky!

Child:
White hair
Skin is not pale
Dark brown eyes
Hair fails to change color as the child ages (like if the child is 30, his/her hair is still white)
Very healthy

Albino or not albino, that is the question. If the child is not albino then i know its due to genetics like his/her mother might have had white hair or his/her grandma, etc.
Don't give a crap if its in the wrong category btw...

If the child has dark brown eyes, he or she is not an albino. Albinism is when the completely or almost completely lacks the ability to make the pigment melanin--which is responsible for that dark brown eye color, as well as skin color.

Clearly this child is making melanin just fine. If there is a pigment mutation, it only effects the hair. That's not albinism, it's just an unusual hair color. Which is probably good, because albinism can have very troublesome complications, such as extreme sensitivity to light and impaired vision!

An albino would present with skin that was extremely pale white, and light-colored eyes. Albinos are the only people who have pink or purple eyes, as a result of having so little pigment in their irises that blood flow within the iris can actually be seen as a red color. Some albinos may have blue or green eyes, if their bodies are still managing to make a tiny bit of melanin.

Hope this helps!

Well, albinos do not have pigments in their skin, so i don't think the child would be considered albino with the above characteristics. You are probably right about the genetics of having white hair in the family. It seems to be the most logical explanation for it.

umm i do not thinks so.Being albino is having a lack of pigmentation in the skin.
I.E. the skin on my eyelid is all white because of the lack of pigmentation which then caused my hair to turn white.
