I'm looking this information up for my little sister who is 15 turning 16 in 4 days. She's been wanting a Chevy Tahoe forever.. So we found one for a decent price.. My dad is just afraid she wont be able to handle it. She's been driving since she was about 13.. And im 17 now, last year when she saw me get a big truck, that also inspired her! (I think!) .. (Becuase i got a 2008 Hummer h2 ;)

My question is, are they hard to drive? whats the ups and downs?
(P.S - PLEASE DONT TELL ME ANYTHING ABOUT GAS AND INSURANSE, ITS NOTHING I HAVENT HEARD BEFORE)
THANKS!!

Assuming money isn't a problem and apparently she has been driving since she was 13. Why not? She will get use to driving it.

No. A teen driver shouldn't be driving something with enough size to take out an entire family in a head on collision. For the sake of others on the road, how about something smaller?

Why do you girls need a big truck anyway? What are you towing? Do you really have 4 kids already?

Yes, trucks are harder to drive than cars. Maneuvering to quickly avoid something in front of you is much easier to do in a car. If you've got money, just buy an upscale car.

you must come from some money! lol im having the same problem but i have to deal with used cars :(. anyway i wouldnt think it would be a problem for her. let her test drive a few to see how she does and get the feel. its a little big but it shouldnt be too different.
