Is a Business Managment Economics major useful?

I'm about to major in business management economics. Would a dual degree in Business Management Economics and Finance be more useful? What kind of jobs will I be able to obtain with this degree? I heard from people that a major in economics is as useless as one in psychology. I want to know if this is true?
