Hi im 15 and a girl and I don't know much about cars. I've been saving money from my job for a year and now I can afford to get a car, but I'm rather clueless about them. I'll have a guy friend teach me about them more i guess but I was wondering about this car, it's for $1900 so is it a good car? I'm assuming it's 2 wheel drive? Well is there anything I should know... don't worry I'll ask alot of people their opinions before i buy it xD thanks everyone for answers. Oh and btw it's white. :P

Yes buick lesabres are very reliable, roomy cars. I had a buick regal for my first car and it never broke down once(except for a flat tire)... They have either the 3.1v6 engine or the 3800 engines and both are bulletproof and yes, they are front wheel drive.

I would get one again if i needed something cheap and reliable. Insurance for my buick was more than for my current lincoln mark 8 with the mustang cobra engine though... I think i was paying around 3500 with it in my name when i was 18, for the lincoln it was like 2500. If you put it in your parents name, you will save alot of money though.

Best thing to do is read the peoples reviews on carsurvey.org... people who have the cars for a long time write all of the reviews and what problems they have had.

They are very comfortable both on the highway and in town. My only complaint with it is that when you take a corner, they tend to sway alot because of the soft suspension.

If you need parts, you can go to a metal scrap yard and find the parts very very very cheap, i bought a set of 4 rims and tires from the same car for 80 bucks...

White cars also get dirty very quickly. The front bumpers also get little cracks in from heat but it does not effect how the car drives or anything. Also the stock radio kinda sucks.

Buick makes a very good car. They are just one small step below the top of the Cadillac in the GM range. Buick's have historically been marketed to older, mature drivers, some call them grandpa cars. You won't find any sports cars, high performance cars os any high tech gadgets in a Buick but what you will find is a well build car with a comfortable ride and very conservative designs.

Determining if the car you are looking at is a good car will depend on the condition of the car, the age and the mechanical repair history of the car you are looking at. Even a great car can turn into a complete piece of crap if the previous owner abused it and never took care of it. So pay attention to the details, the condition of the car is key to finding a good, dependable used car. On the positive side since most Buick's are driven by older individuals they are generally in very good condition when they hit the used car market.
