...paint job cost? I am considering on purchasing a 1997 Jeep Wrangler 4x4 SE. My question is is this a reliable first car and how much would a new paint job cost? I do not like the forest green color and want to paint it either red or burgendy. So how much would a cheap paint job cost. I am not looking for a show car paint job just a desent one.
 
I have a 97 TJ SE it is a great vehicle its really good on the highway gas mileage wise i get like 18-20 mpg. Its also good offroad.I have had mine for a year i haven't had any major things wrong with it. Mine the exaust studs were broken thats a recall, the gas gage didnt work due to chewed wires. So yes id say they are reliable. A paint job depends on quality if you just want some paint go to macco and get a 299$ job i guess decent quality, Or a body shop would be around 1000-1500 dollars. So yes a Jeep wrangler SE is a good car.
