Is a 1970's era Fuji Sport 10 a durable bike?

I just bought a 1970's Fuji Sport 10 bike from a Goodwill store for what is a bargain price in my city. Other than needing new tires soon and a tiny adjustment to the front derailleur, it seems great and rides well and shifts smooth. My primary bike usage is commuting 20 miles per day and 15-50 mile recreational rides on the weekend. Up to now I have been riding a 1972 Schwinn Varsity, which is heavy and unspectacular but is supremely durable and tough.

I know many people think highly of Fuji's. Besides being a good ride, is it generally a sturdy bike?

They made & make very nice bikes.

The only potential problems I see are: standards have changed, so if you need to replace the fork, stem, or drive components, it may be hard to find the parts.
