Is a 04' Chrysler Sebring Convertible a good first car?

when i turn sixteen, i'm getting my dads old 04 chrysler sebring convertible.
i have to buy it from him when i eventually get the money.
do you think its worth buying it from him? or should i save up to get another car?
 
Since its an 04' it seems like it would be a pretty good car. My first car was a 94 mustang convertible, so it seems to me your getting a pretty good deal :)
 
not bad. since you are young, you are likely to get into an accident though and the convertible is not safe if you somehow flip it (this happens - i remember several girls in high school who flipped thier cars).

Not sure of the gas mielage on sebring either. You probably want something fun, but if you're looking to go safe & economical, check out a toyota corolla.
