Is 97,700 miles too much for a 2004 Mazda RX-8 if it's in good condition?

I really want the car and I'm not totally sure how it will hold up after around 19,500 miles per year for the last 5 years

Sorry, but... how do you know it's in "good condition"? Does the seller say so? Does a dealer describe it as such?

Never take anything a seller or dealer says at face value. Always go have the vehicle checked over thoroughly by a licensed mechanic. It might cost you $100 (but you have that much since you're buying a used vehicle, right?), and will be worth every penny.

RX-8's are not Mazda's most reliable vehicle, so be very careful before you become sold on the good looks.

Don't do it your gonna end up with lots of problems thats alot of miles things are gonna start going and i also agree with ash depending on the services history and how the person drove it

It's not that bad, but mazda's aren't as strong as a volvo, bmw, mercedes, acura, honda or toyota. The car isn't going to last as long as them. If you do buy it, when you get to around 135,000 miles on the car, i recommend getting a new car. You should get a 2009 mazda rx-8. They are very nice, and very cheap in price. Best of luck! vrybad.
