Is 8 days before period too early to test?

Hi, my last period was on Aug.25th and im due for my next on Sep. 26th. I've been having cramps for 6 days like i'm about to start, i have been so tired, got a cold, sore breasts, little bit of nausea, headaches, slight lower back ache, and i've been pretty bloated. I took a pregnancy test today and it was negative. Was is too early to test? I guess Im just getting really anxious, I would love to be pregnant...

When should I test again?
 
Way too early to test - wait until your @ least a week late for your period. If your test comes back negative after a week after your missed period, wait one more week and then test again.
 
I would advise you wait another four days and test again. I used First Response test on the day I was supposed to start my period and got positive results. But the box said you could test up to five days before your missed period.
