The headmistress of our local primary has asked my sister if her 4 year old son can go to school to "make up the numbers".The school will lose a teacher if the numbers are low. my nephew is a sunny little chap with a short attention span.
He would only go from 9am to noon- the same as the creche he is going to now. If he didnt like it he could leave. Next year he will start primary school as normal in the reception class.
We are worried that if he doesnt like it and leaves he will think he can do the same next year.
on the other hand it could be nice for him to get used to school. a few mothers have been asked and the school will lose a teacher if numbers are not up.
what do you think - the headmistress is very nice - no pressure and the little guy might love it - what do you think?
Ps he wont have any work to do in school - he will just be there - getting used to it for next year.
