Is 260000 miles to much for me to buy on a 2003 ford explorer even when it drives

excellent!? this truck has 266,000 miles but absolutely amazes me how great and smooth it drives i never would of guessed thats how many miles it had! I need to know is what do i have to look for and what can happen with miles that high? Truck seems to be mint but i am not a mechanic idont want to make the wrong choice they r asking 4500.
 
ask for the maintains re cored of the vehicle and the mil age that the maintainer was done and the date and time if thy have it available fine if not dint bye it have then drop the price about 4000.00 .
 
I just sold my 94 Explorer with over 240 thousand! on it..
darn good suv...only sold it cause the 4x4 went out on it.
Got $700. bucks for it and i live in the rust belt...
Mine was a 5 speed manual...
Im not a mechanic either....
but Ford made good Explorers! I still see alot of them on the road.
That should tell you something!
I would go for it... but that's me.

price is too high...i wouldn't even pay half that. it's got as many miles as my car that is 11 years older than it.
