No it is not a lot of miles for an 8 year old motorcycle. A mc like any vehicle is more about maintenance then miles. If the bike looks decent, runs good and is not slipping gear(S) then it is worthy regardless of miles. Ask to see maintenance records and ride the bike. If it shifts cleanly, runs good then go to kbb.com and see what a 01 R6 in average condition should be selling for.
