Well the BMW is probably more luxurious and has a better suspension, brakes. However, the landcruiser is a very rugged SUV and you can 'beat it up' more. Parts and repair costs are cheaper as well on the toyota. It depends on what your purposes are for buying the car.
The Land Cruiser Prado for off roading. The X5 for snow and rain.
The BMW has 4 wheel drive, but numerous tests have shown that it's just not built for off road. If snow and rain and you want performance when it's dry, I suggest the X5.
