I've read alot that 20 is too old to enter the air force but when i talked to the recruiter and told him my info (my name hieght weight school, ect.) he didnt say anything about my age being an issue. I did however have an issue with the credit check but now gave the problem resolved. Does anyone know if all the effort and getting my hopes up all worth nothing???
If I am able to enlist i've decide to marry my boyfriend of 4 years.I would love to take him with me around the country and the benefits are great but i've read on some questions that you cant be married when you enter bootcamp, you can after but not before, is what i'm reading, is that true also? thankyou

You're not too old. Depending on what branch of the military they generally cut you off at 24-27 to join. You can be married also. The only time you wouldn't be able to join is if you were both trying to join the military and had children. Although you could both join childless and then have children later.

Well heres some facts and tips.

1) 20 is not to old for the air force...It is a great age to join and many new recruits are from the ages of 19-24. If you can get in the air force than go for it!

2) You can be married and join the air force. And you can be married and go to basic training. But your spouse will not come with you until after tech school which can be anywhere from 6 months to a year or even more. (You would have to tell the recruiter you are married and have legal proof and also sign some papers.)...

ps. if your really lucky your spouse can come up wit you during tech school depending how long it is at a certain base.
