Is 14,700 miles alot for a 2000 Yamaha YZF600RM?

No, that is low mileage for a nine year old vehicle.

Make sure it hasn't been in an accident that involved the front wheel, it is easy
to bend the frame on a street bike if the front end hits anything.

Being dropped in a low speed slideout usually only does cosmetic damage.
 
I was going to buy this bike used from a guy but he said it had 14,700 miles on it and i am just wondering if that is A lot of miles for that kind of bike. When i go to look at it what should i be looking for too see if its in good shape?
