Is 12 GCSEs good enough to become a lawyer ?

Ok, obviously i am goint to continue into higher education afterwards but i just wanted to know if 12 would be a good start. All of the 12 are going to be B's or higher . A* is a bit uncertain but who knows :p
 
12 Bs and As are definitely good enough to get you onto A levels, and shows that you have the brains / work ethic to pass them too. So you have absolutely nothing to worry about.

But as a side note; uni's and employers don't usually look at GCSEs when you have higher qualifications, they usually just want to know that you have passes in the basics like English, Maths and Science. But you will need good grades at A level so keep up the good work!
 
Yes but when it comes to applying for a lawyer job they wont be looking at your GCSEs just your degree.
 
Well...you need GCSEs to get into college to DO the A-Levels you need to get to university to get a degree in Law.
As long as you pass your GCSEs, they don't really matter. It's you A-Levels that are going to determine what you can do.
 
12 is excellent!!!!!!!....but you need to make sure you get the best possible grades..(A*)..as a lot of people try to get in law at university...good luck! :)
 
yes it is good enough, but you need to maintain these sorts of grades through your A levels or equilivent.

I have been applying to do law in september at university and it depends which ones you apply to, some are 3 As at A level, some Bs and obviously some lower still!

12 GCSEs is fantastic, usually most be people do 10 or less. Obviously, like you say you need to continue on to do further eduction, but you've given yourself a fantastic start. I'm, fingers crossed, going to get 11 or 12 GCSEs and hope to be a lawyer too. I can't see any college or sixth form turning you down with those grades. You might want to look into what universities you might like to go to, and see what A levels they want for a Law degree, and this should help you select what A levels to do.
