Okay so you have to understand where Im comign from before u say "shit thats a lot of money". Its a two week session of volleyball camp at Luhi (which has a beautiful campus and is totally worth it). They have professional volleyball players and ones that coach it in colleges such as adelphi. I've been going since the 6th grade (Im going into 9th now) and this year my dad thinks he wants to skip it cause of the price. I am trying to earn at least 500 by selling old video games and babysitting 9which is going fairly well). Any ideas? I really love this camp and miss my friends. Im going to feel like crap and have the worst summer if I cant go. Maybe even some $$$$$ making suggestions would be good :( please help

tell your dad I pay 975.00 for 5 days of camp for my two children.
So it's reasonable, it also sounds like this camp has a high level of coaches which is always more money.

My kids went to camp with Olympians and Olympic coaches. But, they received so much from the staff I though it was totally worth it. They will attend again this summer, and they can't wait!

If you're this serious about volleyball, aren't there sponsorships available?

Understand that a grand isn't easy for parent(s) to spend. It's not like they have all sorts of disposable income. Most of the average person's salary barely covers bills, let alone extras like any kind of summer camp. So really think about it. Would you rather your dad make a mortgage/rent payment or send you to camp and become homeless? Because that sort of thing is happening all over the country.

If you want to go, be prepared to raise ALL the money yourself. By your age, you're limited to jobs around the neighborhood & through friends/family (just a tip, my 12 yr old daughter can mow the lawn, so you probably can too).
