Iraqi Civil War - described by US Troops

What do I think about Hamas? I think it is a political and military force which must be first and foremost recognized. It must be respected and supported financially and morally. It is a party with ambitious goals of likes which the world has never seen.

I am outraged at the fact that Europe(where I was born) has not taken a more active role of supporting the Palestinian people. It is sickening that Europe has millions of Euros to spend in backwards Africa, but not a cent to Palestine.

And this is what makes me sick:

Well, to Western logic, thousands can perish, thousands of building can be bombed, ALL in the name of freedom.

I'd rather live under Saddam with full electricity 24 hours a day rather than in freedom and with electricity only 15 minutes during a day. The US and its military can only achieve one goal, and ONLY ONE, and that is the destruction of another country. When it comes to rebuilding their mistake, people are left shafted and stranded.

Why don't we make a Pro-American Kurd the absolute leader of Iraq, and let him handle things, since democracy obviously doesn't work in the region.

Insurgent:

Civil War:
n.A war between factions or regions of the same country. A state of hostility or conflict between elements within an organization.I dont think its one thing in particular. Its all of the above combined.

Iraq will probably split into 3 but others want to avoid that

Turks/Syrians/Iranians don't want the kurds to have a state
The Sunni's don't want to split cause they've got no oil in their regions.
Americans don't want Shia to split to take away the oil and ally with Iran.

We should just set up a bunch of video cameras, pull all our troops out and enjoy the show. If things get too far out of hand just drop a nuke or two.

They fled the country thankfully and came here. Now half of the family is here and the other half is in Iran.

I have no desire to ever go back...

i had this great idea when saddam was first toppled...

give each region the same amount of weapons (m16's and such) and tell them that they have to fight for themselves...

it's sorta how i think we should resolve the whole Israel/palestine thing...

When they fled to Turkey, they only had like $10 in their pockets and a few pieces of clothes. The fucking turks at the airport told them they can't have their belongings back unless they pay them like $100

I can't believe they made it here

I would compare this more to street gang related violence. (ie crypts and bloods). Theres no real organization to this and it is not a widespread occurance. There are no leaders on either side and Because of that i do not see this breaking out into an all out civil war.
