IR or Cradle Hotsync

My T3 is my fourth Palm model. I have always synced via IR with my previous models. I have noticed lately that the time it takes to sync Calendar is nearly 3 times as long than synching Date Book on my previous models including a T. I like the convenience of IR, but was wondering if Cable/Cradle is the way to go for faster syncronization. Thanks in advance for your help. Steve

I tried synchronizing my T3 through IR and although it works fine it's way slower than through cable.

IR is about half the speed of syncing with a cable. There's more handshaking overhead syncing with IR than a cable. Unless you need the IR sync as a convenience, I would stick with the cable.

If you still want a cable free sync, you can use bluetooth. It is much faster than IR but still slower than cable.
