Long story short, someone entered MY phone number on an scam IQ Quiz website to receive her IQ score. It's called something like 10 Minute Mind Quiz. Well, it claimed it will text a pin # to you to enter on the website in order to receive your "IQ score". I received the text & pin (meant for her) but never responded. She failed to see that it would charge me $9.99/month but the site also claims that I would be agreeing to the activation of the service by either entering a phone # (which she had done for me) AND pin # received or by replying directly to the text. I did neither. Didn't enter the pin & didn't respond to the text. I received another text not long after asking me to hurry up and respond "ok" to accept a complimentary item and get my downloads. Again, I didn't respond.
So...my question is, should I be worried about being billed since technically (according to the site) I didn't finish HER process to accept activation of services? Or am I likely to be billed regardless? I'm going to talk to my service provider's customer service but offices are closed at the moment.
Has anyone dealt with this?
