ipod touch 4g help needed?

i struck upon an idea on how to connect usb flash drive (pen drive) to ipod touch but i dont have 1 thing

so please try this for me and tell me whether it works or not
u need :
ipod touch 4g
usb hub
ipod touch data transfer cable (used for connecting to pc)
usb flash drive (pen drive)

connect the ipod to the usb hub with the cable
connect the usb flash drive on the other side of the hub

pls see the results and tell it in comments
