iPhone????????????????????????

i have an iPod touch, but recently i heard that iPhone is switching to verizon... i really want an iPhone, but as i already said, i have an iPod touch... i really want an iphone once it switches to verizon... would it be a good idea to wait for it to get to 4th generation, then sell my current iPod or something at best buy, then get the iPhone??? What would you do in my situation?

Well, Apple had their conference yesterday on the 7th and introduced the new iphone 4. There was NO mention of Verizon, so I wouldn't wait on that if I were you.
