Iphone with Verizon?

Hi,

I just got a Voyager today. I want an iPhone, just not At&T. Would I be able to buy an unlocked iPhone, and put my Voyager SIM card in the iPhone, and have that work with Verizon?

Cause I'm not sure if the phone I'm wanting to switch to must be GSM, or the service I currently have must me GSM.

Any thoughts, and thanks.
 
I phone is the most popular shape now , it is elegent , now here is the iphone 3G , it is much attracting , and most people like it vey much .:)
 
No you can not use the a iphone on the verizon wireless network. AT&T is a GSM carrier which uses SIM cards. Verizon Wireless is a CDMA carrier which does not use sim cards. You should check out the Blackberry Storm if you like the Iphone.
 
So:

Can I pick up a cheap service from At&T, that comes with a free phone. Then buy a refurbished/used iphone from ebay or amazon, and switch the SIM cards? Will that work?

Cheaper?
