iPhone vs. Android (was: Seeing more and more Droid phones at work...)

I really like my iPhone 4, but one thing I'm noticing is that EVERYONE is getting smart-phones nowadays. And I'm seeing a ton of droid phones around.

I think its a good thing actually. Apple finally has some competition...

I'll be completely honest here, i work for an AT&T corporate store and the droids are really taking off but it's gonna be some time before it's at the iphones level. I did some shopping around to see the competition and at one point was even gonna port over to the big V for the Droid X which is an awesome device in fact it's the only droid i would buy for my personal line. Our Samsung Galaxy S Captivate we could barely keep in stock they sell very VERY well, nice phone too bad it doesnt have a flash and some other things.

The main reason i was thinking of switching is Flash, as it stands right now most droids and even our Captivate can play flash and when the 2.2 update comes out it's gonna be even better for the droid phones.

At the end of the day though, i stayed with my 3GS at the time (just upgraded to the 4 couple days ago) because of a couple reasons tha'ts very important to me

-Ease of use meaning the UI and switching to something really quickly without going into many folder, lol anything that's remotely like WINDOWS MOBILE on a phone, bye BYE!!
-iTunes, i love itunes even though my friends call me a sucker for paying for everything i want it feels good to use such an easy interface.
-iphone's Screen shot feature (press home and sleep button same time etc) i use this ALOT!! I haven't seen this feature on other phones.
-Resale value, this is big one also the iphone has every other mobile device beat in that area from what i've seen.

PS the only single aspect i HATE that the iphone doesn't use is FLASH!!!!!

That's funny, I work with one person who's got an android phone and that's the G1. Perhaps my office is simply behind the times but outside of the office I know of one other person who's sporting Android and he works for VZW. Damn, it's hard to type when hammered. Hahahahhahahaha

I'm sorry that while Android has the capability (actually the best one still in the business) to create folders, by default, none of the apps are stored on one. Unlike Windows Mobile, Symbian or Blackberry OS, folders are not set up by default nor are apps stored in them. All apps are stored under the main Home tab in one flat display, there is no storage hierarchy.

You create folders on Android on your own and store shortcuts there. Press on an empty part of the home screen and a context menu comes up that offers you Widgets, Program, Shortcut and Folders to be installed on the Home screen.

A friend just got the Samsung Galaxy and if I had seen that before my 30 day was past on the iPhone 4 I would've had to consider it real hard.........

* I don?t know in the Captivate but on the Galaxy S press Menu (center key) + Back = Screenshot...
* Nokia N900 CTRL + SHIFT + P = Screenshot...

iPhone is not "so" unique...

I have an iPhone 4 and I'm debating returning it and getting an HTC Desire. YES the iPhone is amazing and probably better than the Desire. Is it a good value at almost 2x the price? Doubtful...
