Iphone on/off button help!?

My Uncle's iPhone's button on the top right that shuts the phone off. It's malfunctioning. Sometimes it takes a while to shut the phone off. He has to keep clicking it. He thinks maybe the button is getting worn out. He doesn't want to get a new iPhone yet. Is this fixable and has anyone else had these issues?
 
yes, i had this problem. I recently brought it to the apple store and they fixed it for me. set up a time and they will look at it and do their best to fix it
