Iphone magnifying glass.

those of you who are familiar with the magnifying glass for texting on the iphone, is there anything similar to this on the android? i am getting a nexus one this week. it has already shipped and im just getting some things ready now.

There is nothing as of yet, but i find that the touchscreen is very responsive on my N1 and don;t often have to change a lot of things especially when going back in text

I've always found the iPhone magnifying glass one step above useless. It's slow and barely functional. The trackball on the Nexus is far better for editing text. You'll be fine.

Well, if you feel adventurous, root your N1 and put the Desire rom on it, it has a function on it similar to the iPhony's.

it doesn't have the feature but, with the trackball I'm not sure you need it...

All it is, is for moving the cursor. When you press in hold in a text field a little magnifying glass comes up to show you what's under your finger.

Ah, well in that case, would such an app work at all on Android? When you press and hold and move your finger it selects the text for copy/pasting.

I agree with previous replies - the trackball will do what you want.
