iphone / ipod touch / verizon droid

So...you all helped me a ton a few years back and i got the verizon EnV, which I love frankly. I have america's calling, I'm a gov employee, and so my plan is about $45 a month (which includes txt and pic messages and ocassional verizon navigator or web access, i actually love navigator)
but now I'm married. my husband has at+T, me verizon, we're both month to month so it seems like a good time to coordinate/ upgrade if we're going to...

and I'm totally overwhelmed. I want to get him a ipod of some sort... his was stolen, and I know he'd love some of the apps, so i started thinking about the itouch, which got me thinking about the iphone, which got me overwhelmed fast.

So:
1) iphone
2) itouch and keep my EnV, he keeps AT+T
3) itouch, and droid (and other verizon phone) w / 2 year contract
4) droid w/o contract? even possible?

sigh. i'm so confused. where do i even start?

also, for verizon peeps, what are the "minimum" plans for verizon to make the droid do everything it does so well? are there minimum plans for "adding a line" for him (he's willing to make the switch)? and in sum, what's it going to cost to make this move?

Any tips on where to start/ what to consider in making this decision will be muccch appreciated.

Go to a Verizon store, and check out the Droid.

You have 30 days to decide if you like it, and if you don't you can give it back for a full refund.

It's an amazing device, with amazing apps coming out all of the time!

Being you're already with Verizon, it should be painless to try out the Droid. Either you'll love it, or you'll hate it and move on to an Apple device! Either way, you win!

(I'd bet that after two, three days, you'll love the droid, but could be wrong)

Not sure about rates, you probably should talk to a Verizon CS about that.

The minimum will include the mandatory $30 data plan for the Droid. Be sure to take that into account. AT&T requires it for the iPhone also, so be forewarned.
