this has me baffled. I bought my friend's original iphone from him. He said it was telling him that it needed restored and I thought maybe I could figure it out. I tried to restore it using itunes and got this message: "The iPhone could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (23)."
I did some quick research online, everything I found led me back to one Mac forum or another. Unfortunately, those aren't written in everyday language. Everything I saw was about "DFU mode" and "STD 2.2 firmware" and using winpwn. It's all quite confusing, I had trouble following most of it.
Can anyone explain in layman's terms what I should/can do? The nearest Apple store is almost an hour away so I'd rather not go there.
